This year, our pilgrimage will start at the Monks Hospital in Badsey, and following the monks’ path, it will end at the abbey's remains in Abbey Park, Evesham. We will meet in the car park of The Wheatsheaf pub in Badsey at 10 am. Details are still to be confirmed, but we hope to say the Akathist to St Egwin at the abbey and perhaps hold a Liturgy in one of the nearby churches. Following the service, we will picnic or eat at one of the many food outlets in Evesham, depending on the weather.

This is the nearest Saturday to the feast day celebrating the translation of relics of St Egwin, 10 September. Our community patronal festival falls on 9 September.

The monk’s path is a walk over various surfaces, including stiles, and takes around an hour, depending on the pace.
